Ujigami-Jinja

The main hall was constructed in the early Kamakura period and has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. The enshrined deity, Uji no Wakiiratsuko no Mikoto, was known for his wisdom from a young age and is revered as the god of learning, academic success, and passing examinations, due to his profound studies in Baekje.

The temple grounds, peacefully nestled in nature, exude charm and a sense of history and culture. The "power spot" deep within the grounds and the adorable "rabbit omikuji" (fortune slips) are especially popular.
