Kiyomizu-dera Temple



A famous Kannon pilgrimage site in Kyoto, founded during the Nara period, known for the stage of Kiyomizu. Located on the slopes of Mount Otowa, its National Treasure main hall extends over a cliff, offering a stunning panoramic view of Kyoto city. Jishu Shrine, famous for granting success in love, is also within the temple grounds.

Take Kyoto City Bus No. 80 bound for Gion Shijo Kawaramachi from Gojo Takakura Bus Stop, ride for 6 minutes, get off at Gojo-zaka or Kiyomizu-michi, then walk for 10 minutes. 20 minutes from Yumeyakata.
